Hi! First of all I wanted to congratulate you on your work, it’s really well done! I was immediately attracted by your presentation and also because my group spoke about something similar. In fact, we focused on the situation in China too, but with a different perspective. I really enjoyed the key through which you spoke about violence against women in China. We as a group were aware that China had a problem with censorship, but we didn’t deepened our research, so it was great to learn something more on this topic. I find disturbing that anything can be censored in China, even if on paper the Chinese constitution guarantees freedom of expression and of speech. I take these rights…

We, as a group, were really impressed by this work because it gave us the opportunity to reflect about how we, as occidentals, take for granted the freedom of speech and all the issues around. We were particularly shocked by the fact that some words can be censored also for a limited amount of time, this was a completly new information for us. This makes us think that sometimes the border between reasonable and cultural censorship and the real limitation of freedom are not as clear as we think.
