A UniTWIN European teaching partnership on "Countering gender-based violence in and through the media"
This is a special action research and learning programme organized in the context of the UNESCO UniTWIN Network on Gender Media and ICT, in partnership with the Universities of Padova (Prof Claudia Padovani and Dr Alice Baroni), Newcastle University (Prof Karen Ross and Dr David Baines), Complutense University of Madrid (Prof Patricia Nunez Gomez and Dr Lucia Gloria Vázquez Rodríguez), University of Vienna (Prof Krisztina Rozgonyi and Dr Jennifer Adams).

25 November 2021: Act against Gender-based Violence! - the day of communicAction across Europe - actions in real life to create, advocate, support, and share - aiming at preventing and eliminating violence against women and girls
The starting points for this collaboration are the various perspectives on violence against women on the media - focusing on online and physical attacks against women journalists - and through the media - highlighting the mediated context and conditions of femicide and other forms of violence against women.
